Vocalist and Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead alum Christie Dashiell returns to the Kennedy Center off of a hot run on NBC's hit The Sing-Off, as part of the Howard University jazz/pop a cappella ensemble Afro Blue. Dashiell thrives singing a range of styles from jazz to classical, always with abundant energy and solid vocals. She has performed with many female titans of jazz, including Nneena Freelon, Nancy Wilson, and Geri Allen.
